Business Law Attends Municipal Court

Business Law Students from Mrs. Wilbert's Business Law class took a field trip to Phoenixville's Municipal Court.  On this day they visited the courtroom and observed the mornings docket of cases.  The students listened to cases of all kinds and observed the court proceedings. They took notes on the terminology they heard, objects in the courtroom that we discussed including the layout of the room, all courtroom officials and their duties and responsibilities of those jobs.

After the court cases, Judge Teyral told the students about her job and the types of cases she deals with.  She then opened the discussion up for questions.  The Assistant District Attorney also stayed after and talked to them as well.  The students had the opportunity to see holding cells, the room where court files are kept and the judges chambers. The students loved the experience and had so much to discuss when we returned.
