Autism Spectrum Disorder

At the age of 14, IEP teams begin activities to prepare for a student's transition from secondary education toward postsecondary goals of education, employment, and independent living. This would start no later than the annual IEP during which a student turns 14.
The Three Postsecondary Goal Areas
Postsecondary Education
Postsecondary Education is education and training, which occurs after high school graduation. This may include a four-year college, community college, a vocational training school, or other forms of education. Click here for additional information on this postsecondary goal area.
Postsecondary Employment
Postsecondary Employment may be competitive employment with or without support.
