Dear Class of 2023, New PAHS Students, and Parents/Guardians,  

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Phoenixville Area High School where you will spend the next four years of your academic career. I can assure you that while at PAHS you will be presented with NUMEROUS opportunities to grow and excel both socially and academically. We have developed a great tradition of excellence here at PAHS.  We pride ourselves on providing all of our students with the support to reach their full potential.  We are truly excited about your arrival and look forward to having the opportunity to meet each one of you throughout the school year.  To provide us the opportunity to get to know one another before the start of the school year, we have planned a 9^th grade/new student barbeque and orientation for Thursday, August 22nd  (for students only) from 10:00 AM-2:20 PM.  During this time, you will receive your schedule, a guided tour, meet some of our current PAHS students who will serve as your mentors for the school year and lead you through some fun activities.  You will also have the opportunity to meet each of your teachers and address any questions that you may have regarding what is to be expected.  Below is an agenda for the day:

10:00 AM: Meet & Welcome by Dr. Parkinson in Auditorium

10:15 AM - 12 PM: Orientation Activities with NHS & Phantom Ambassador Students

12:00 PM - 12:30 PM:  BBQ lunch at Washington field

Student Schedules distributed after lunch.

12:35- PM: Classroom Tours and Lockers

12:35 PM – NHS Members and Phantom Ambassadors begin tours

12:40 - 12:45 - Homeroom

12:50-12:55 - 1^st period

1:00-1:05 - 2^nd period

1:10 -1:15 3^rd period

1:20- 1:25 4^th period

1:30 - 1:35 5^th period

1:40 - 1:45 6^th period

1:50- 1:55 7^th period

2:00 - 2:05 8^th period

At 6:30PM on Thursday, August 22^nd there will be a meeting held for parents only with the administration and the guidance department to address any questions that you may have.

For students who are unable to attend this event, your schedules will be made available to you on the first day of school, Monday, August 26^th.  Again, we look forward to seeing you - and welcome to Phoenixville Area High School!
