PAHS offers a wide level of academic assistance for students through our
MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) program:
Before School Tutoring
Teachers are available multiple days per week approximately a half
hour before the school day starts. Students looking for additional help
in their class should make appointments directly with their teacher.
Peer Tutoring
Run through the National Honors Society, students can work with an
upperclassmen to review topics. These are scheduled individually
between the student and the peer tutor.
After School Tutoring
Afternoon tutoring runs daily in the library and is staffed by various
teachers in the building, giving students a chance to hear and review
content with a teacher that they do not see during the day.
Academic Support Center
This is utilized for students once all supports have been exhausted in
the regular classroom setting, ensuring that students who need
additional help can access it. The support in the center is dynamic,
allowing students to move in and out based on ongoing data and
specific needs. Teachers in the center provide individualized help,
ensuring students have the necessary resources to stay organized,
manage time effectively, and complete assignments, fostering their
overall academic success.
