Swimming State Championships

At the State Championship this weekend, the 200 medley relay featuring Kathryn Bland, Maddie Cooke, Emily Fabius and Katya Hayward finished 11th despite being seeded 16th, and smashed their own team record, qualifying for consideration as All American (a top 100 fastest time in the entire country). Maddie Cooke also earned a 7th and 8th place medal in the 100 breast and 50 free despite being seeded 9th and 10th respectively (also under consideration for All American). The girls currently sit at 18th overall in team scoring with Caroline Turner set to compete in next Sunday's (postponed) diving championship. Please congratulate the girls on a wonderful season, and incredible high school swimming career!
