Dear Parents, Juniors, and Seniors,

We are ABSOLUTELY THRILLED to announce that we will be hosting our Junior/Senior Prom on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 6:00-10:30 p.m. at the Sunnybrook Ballroom.

This year’s prom will look differently as we abide by COVID restrictions but we still expect it to be a magical and memorable evening for all participants.

As we prepare for this evening we wanted to make you aware of the many steps we have in place to ensure this is a safe and enjoyable evening.

● Outdoor Prom - The plan is to host the Prom outdoors and move indoors in the event of inclement weather.
● Limited attendance - In order to host the event, we do need to limit the number of participants. As a reminder only PAHS are allowed to attend the prom this year.  There are
no outside guests.
● Each participating student will need to participate in Antigen Testing on Thursday, April 29th. (See below for more details).
● All PAHS COVID-19 mitigation protocols will be in effect.
● To ensure social distancing:
Arrival times will be staggered.
Tables will have fewer students.
Food will be served via a socially distanced buffet.
There will be multiple dance floors.
Post-Prom - With all of the increased regulations, we will have a post prom event from 11:00 pm to 1:30 am, on Washington Field to host our traditional post-prom celebration.  You do not need to attend the prom to attend the post prom event. Please click here for more information about the post prom event!

Covid Testing to Attend Prom

To help keep everyone safe, we are requiring all Prom attendees to participate in Antigen Testing on Thursday, April 29, 2021. There is no cost for the Antigen Testing for students. A schedule for testing will be sent out the week of 4/19 for all students who purchased a ticket.  If a student tests positive, they will not be permitted to attend the event.  The student will be required to go through the quarantine process.

With the possibility of not being able to go to Prom due to a positive test result, we encourage students to not spend much money on their attire. Students are welcome to come more casual than usual. The school district is not responsible for any personal funds lost due to a positive test result.  We look forward to celebrating Prom with our Seniors and Juniors.

Directions:
All students attending prom and FOCUS will be required to take an antigen test, with the exception of those who have tested positive within the last 60 days. Initially, it was stated that students who were vaccinated did not need to be tested.  After additional research, it was determined that those students who were vaccinated would also need to be tested.

The testing will take place on Washington Field. Be sure to arrive for your appointment 5 minutes before you are scheduled.  Upon arrival, report to the registration table on Washington Field where you will submit your consent form that your parents must sign in order to receive the antigen test. Please remember to be eligible to attend prom you must take this test.

Students must have the parental consent form and the QR code for testing.  Please follow the testing schedule (all documents below)

Sincerely,
The High School Administrative Team and the Junior Class Advisors
