PAHS Senior Career Study Interest Survey 

PAHS Career Study Program is an optional program for senior students in good academic standing. The program provides an opportunity for students to explore a potential career area and enjoy a work place experience. Students leave school the last three weeks before graduation to participate in a program of observation or hands-on experience guided by a community sponsor. No credit or grade is earned.

Senior Career Study Program Eligibility Requirements
By the end of the 3rd marking period (March 23rd) of senior year, students must be passing ALL classes and be on track to graduate.

Students must have satisfactory attendance (no more than 15 days absent during senior year as of the end of the 3rd marking period)

Students must not have any serious discipline problems.

Senior Career Study Participation Guidelines

Interested students must complete the Career Study Intent to Participate Form and return by January 5th.

Please review the Career Study Program Information and Timeline.

Students should complete the Career Study Application and the Site Supervisor Information/Agreement Packet.  Please obtain all required signatures and return by the deadline of March 23rd for final approval.

Administration will evaluate each student’s participation and reserves the right to withdraw the Career Study Program privilege at any time during the process.

• Students are to obtain their own career study placements.
• Families may not sponsor their own child.
• Transportation is the student’s responsibility.
• Students must commit to 30 hours/week at the Career Study site.
• The Career Study Program will take place, May 14th–June 1st.
• Students must not be paid for their experience.

Students must have documentation of hours completed and keep a journal of their experience. These must be submitted to the counseling office by June 4th.
