Blue Ribbons for Reading Olympics

Blue Ribbons for Reading Olympics

Reading OlympicsYesterday, PAHS took two teams to the Chester County Reading Olympics competition. The competition is comprised of students answering questions about 40 different books that are compiled for the annual Reading Olympics list (think a combination between Academic Team and a book club… our students have nicknamed it Competitive Book Club).

Both of our teams earned blue ribbons, which is the highest honor at the competition! Please congratulate them not only on their achievement at the competition, but also on their commitment to making reading part of their lives (and hey, maybe ask them for book recommendations J). They have discovered that reading for pleasure makes us better human beings, and that is the utmost achievement.

Thanks also to the elementary and middle school teachers and librarians who have fostered a love of reading in these students!
