Use of “BYOT” devices
You can use your device to access Internet resources, take notes in class, organize assignments, write papers, and most other activities that you would use a PASD-owned device to do. The main difference is that you will have more flexibility in choosing when to do these activities and more convenience with using one device. While in school, all the same rules still apply.
The classroom teacher will have the final say as to whether students can use their devices or not. If the devices become a distraction, the teacher can instruct the students to put them away. Any bullying, cheating, or other activity that is normally prohibited is still prohibited when using your own device in school.
Personally owned devices may not be charged in school. It is the owner’s responsibility to make sure that the device is fully charged, and/or that there are extra batteries.
